Horticulture Conferences

agri benchmark Horticulture Network Conference

In early September, the agri benchmark Horticulture Network will hold its first international partner conference in Spain.
This closed, partner-only event is dedicated to one central objective: assessing and strengthening the international competitiveness of horticultural production systems.

The conference provides a focused platform for network partners to work jointly on:

  • International competitiveness
Comparative economic analysis of horticultural systems based on the agri benchmark typical farm methodology, ensuring consistency, transparency, and analytical depth.
  • Methodological alignment
Discussion and refinement of assumptions, indicators, and modelling approaches across countries and crops.
  • Strategic exchange within the network
Structured dialogue among partners to interpret results, identify competitiveness drivers, and define priorities for future network work.
  • Mediterranean field perspective
Selected field trips in Spain will place the analytical results into a Mediterranean production context, linking farm-level economics with real-world production conditions.

This conference marks an important internal milestone for the agri benchmark Horticulture Network and lays the foundation for future joint analyses, publications, and coordinated outreach.

Date: Early September
Location: Spain
Participation: By invitation – agri benchmark Horticulture Network partners only

Further details on agenda and logistics will follow directly within the network.
